Frequently Asked Questions

I would like to send e-mail to prospective buyers but want them to originate in Vanuatu - how do I do that?

This is more difficult than it seems. First you must have a Vanuatu e-mail address. You could then modify your e-mail program to have your return e-mail address as Vanuatu, but if someone looked at the full message details, they would quickly discover where the e-mail actually originated. The only sure way to do this is to send the e-mail to e-business Incorporated in Vanuatu and let them re-send it. If you are in the practice of using PGP encryption, nobody but the intended recipient will know what was in the e-mail.

How should I send you photographs for the display area?

You will need to buy a digital camera. You can get one that feeds directly into your computer at very low cost or you can get one that looks like a regular camera that uses memory cards instead of film. You will want to take photos of objects against a solid color background (using a color that is not found on the object) with very even lighting (no strong shadows). Store the image in the jpeg format and then prepare an e-mail describing the object (size, shipping weight, numbers available, and cost). Before sending the e-mail either drag the icon for the photo onto the e-mail or go to the e-mail menu and select insert/image and browse to the file and open it. You can select more than one image to attach to the e-mail but if you have a large number it is best to send them in batches of about 5 per e-mail to avoid very long upload and download times for each e-mail.

Can you put detailed drawings in the display or products wanted areas?

Yes, line drawings can be zoomed in on to show very high details while paint images break up when you zoom in on them and are not suitable for detailed drawings. But your partners will need to download a "plug-in" for their browsers that will let them read the files.
